Hello fine people,

Just a quick post today to let you all know that yesterday my Carcharodons on their new display board won the Armies on Parade qualifier round so they can be presented at Games Day in Sydney on the 9th.

Although I fully intend on going to Games Day, I brought my ticket the day they came out here, I wasn’t intending on entering anything in the painting competition.  I’m still not sure how the hell I’m going to get the 2′ by 2′ board on the plane and safely down to Sydney.  I’m sure I’ll figure something out.

I was pretty chuffed to win this one actually, the guys in the store tell me I got 29 of the 40 votes.  I saw on Facebook some of the other armies that won from around Australia and it looks like there will be some pretty stiff competition I have to say.  Two in particular looked amazing!  Suffice to say, I’ll be posting tones of pics of the event.  One feature of Games Day I really like actually is the choice of venue that Games Workshop chose to hold the event.  Its at a place in Sydney called Technology Park which way back in the day used to be an old Train factory.  Without exaggeration it actually looks like a Forge World factory or something… here are a few pictures that I took last year to give you an idea of what I mean, just click on the picture to see more

Ok, thats it for me for now.  I’ve got a few things that I want to finish off this week, one of which is the Renegade Beserker Ogryn, my Iron Hands Landraider and Rhinos and then I want to start thinking about getting this Titan unit finished off with a Reaver

Bye for now

John
