Hello fine people,
A few weeks ago I had some people over at my place and one of them was looking at this guy (half complete) and dropped him. The mini was mostly undamaged, however one of the prongs on his improvised close combat weapon on his left arm broke off. Despite much searching we never found it… until today. I have to admit, I was pretty annoyed at the time. I was really pleased with how this mini was coming along and now that it’d been damaged, with a vital piece completely missing, I have to say I was a little discouraged and all but abandoned the idea of completing it.
I spilt something on the floor today, and was sweeping it up and low and behold there was the prong! I immediately went and reunited it with my Ogryn and with renewed enthusiasm and a clearer vision of how I was going to finish it, started work. Below are the results.
I really like this mini for many reasons. Its got a lot of character and has a real darkness to it along with some incredible sculpting. I have a great idea for its base too… but I’ll leave that for a surprise. Its been a real pleasure to paint it however I have no intentions of painting more. This was just a one off for a bit of fun.
Hope you enjoyed looking

I’d do a khaki/grey hood, add a cooler tone and something to draw the eye. You could dirty and stain it a lot to tie it in to the battle damage on the rest of the model.
[…] me for now. I’ve got a few things that I want to finish off this week, one of which is the Renegade Beserker Ogryn, my Iron Hands Landraider and Rhinos and then I want to start thinking about getting this Titan […]
